Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau

France

Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau is a family-owned estate in Burgundy’s Mâconnais, founded in 2009 by husband-and-wife team Frantz Chagnoleau and Caroline Gon, who both make the wines. Working old-vine parcels in Prissé, Chasselas, Vergisson and Viré, the domaine focuses on single-vineyard white Burgundy. The vineyards are Ecocert-certified organic since 2012/2013, with horse work in the vines, hand-picked harvests and a move toward biodynamic farming. In the cellar, the approach is minimal intervention, using indigenous yeasts and aging in used French oak barrels.
