Domaine de la Bergerade is a family-owned estate in Vauvert, between Nîmes and Montpellier, overlooking the Petite Camargue. A former 17th-century sheepfold restored from partial ruin, it was taken over in 2021 by Jean-Pierre and Virginie, whose family has generations of viticultural heritage in the region. The vineyard is being converted to organic agriculture, with parcel replanting, limited yields, and careful attention to soil health, biodiversity, and natural cycles. Mediterranean conditions, rolled pebbles over clay, Mistral winds, sunshine, and nearby Camargue ponds shape the site’s microclimate. The domaine aims for authentic, expressive wines that reflect their terroir and savoir-faire.
