Teyssier is a family-run estate in Vignonet, Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, with vineyards on clay-limestone soils planted mainly to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The estate is described as a family home, with the winemaking team living on site, giving it a hands-on, owner-managed character. Under Jonathan Maltus and the JCP Maltus team, the approach combines traditional methods such as hand harvesting, sorting and manual punch-downs with selective use of modern technology. Notes also emphasize respect for nature, terroir expression, minimal-intervention winemaking and careful élevage in French oak. Teyssier is linked to Saint-Émilion’s garage-wine movement of the 1990s and welcomes visitors to the estate.
