Castelfeder

Italy

Founded by Alfons Giovanett in 1969, Castelfeder is a three-generation family winery in Alto Adige, now led by Günther Giovanett with Ivan Giovanett overseeing winemaking and viticulture. Its vineyards extend from Merano to Salorno across alpine and Mediterranean-influenced sites, with volcanic porphyry and dolomite soils, focusing on Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. The winery is listed as sustainable and balances tradition with a pioneering spirit. Its ranges include the fresh Mont Mès, terroir-focused Castelfeder Selection and premium Burgum Novum wines, whose Riservas receive extended oak and bottle aging. The family also cultivates Riesling at Sorentberg in Germany and maintains close relationships with partner wineries across Italy.
