Producer

Bodegas Valdelacierva

Spain

Bodegas Valdelacierva is a Rioja producer within the Hispanobodegas group, working vineyards in villages including Briones, Baños de Ebro, San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Tudelilla. Its wines emphasize the authenticity and personality of individual plots, with one of Rioja’s highest numbers of registered Viñedo Singular sites. Led by technical director Emma Villajos Barja, the winery follows careful, methodical winemaking focused on expressing terroir and Tempranillo, while also working with Garnacha. Vineyard practices include limiting forced growth and stopping vegetation during ripening as part of an environmentally respectful approach. The winery combines current technology with respect for tradition and produces both conventional and special single-vineyard selections.
