Celler Vall Llach is a family-owned winery in Porrera, Priorat, founded in the early 1990s by Enric Costa and Lluís Llach, with Albert Costa now leading the estate. It is built around controlled micro-production, with a firm focus on quality over quantity and close oversight of each plot and process. The winery farms certified organic vineyards on steep llicorella slate slopes, including many old and centenarian vines of Carinyena and Garnatxa that must be worked largely by hand. Vall Llach combines respect for tradition, including old soleras and chestnut or acacia casks, with modern winemaking. Its philosophy is closely tied to supporting Porrera, sustaining local growers, protecting biodiversity, and preserving the rural landscape and social fabric of Priorat.
