O'Shaughnessy Winery is a family-owned Napa Valley estate in California, founded by Betty O’Shaughnessy and Paul Woolls and still under family control. Built across Oakville, Howell Mountain, and Mount Veeder, the estate is organically farmed, with no formal certification mentioned, and is focused on expressing the distinct character of each site. Winemaker Sean Capiaux has been with the winery since the beginning and works with a minimal-intervention approach, including natural fermentations and bottling unfined and unfiltered. The range centers on limited-edition Cabernet Sauvignon from the mountain and valley-floor vineyards, with smaller amounts of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from Oakville. The estate’s first harvest was in 2003, and the founders remain closely involved in harvest, allocation, and vintage decisions.
