Domaine Gueguen

France

Founded in 2013, Domaine Gueguen is a family-owned Chablis estate run by Céline and Frédéric Gueguen, who draw on experience in established Chablis domaines and their own winemaking families. They work parcels across Chablis and Auxerrois, mainly planted to Chardonnay, alongside Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Aligoté and lesser-known varieties. The vineyards include Kimmeridgian and clay-limestone soils rich in fossil oyster fragments. Their approach emphasizes vine longevity, terroir expression and minimal-intervention winemaking, with indigenous yeasts and stainless-steel fermentation. The domaine has practiced herbicide-free, environmentally focused viticulture, including organic farming and certification for the 2023 vintage, while managing soils mechanically. The resulting wines are presented as fresh, sincere and balanced expressions of their varied Burgundy terroirs.
