Clos Roussely

France

Clos Roussely is a fourth-generation family estate founded in 1917 and run by Vincent Roussely, the founder’s great-grandson. The estate is certified organic, with farming centered on manual and horse-drawn work and no herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic chemicals. Biodiversity is encouraged through trees, horses, donkeys, sheep, and low-impact soil management by plowing and scratching. The vineyards are planted mainly to Sauvignon Blanc, with smaller parcels of Côt, Pineau d’Aunis, Cabernet Franc, and Gamay. This is a clearly hands-on, family-led domaine with a strong organic focus and a traditional approach to vineyard work.
