Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a historic Pauillac estate, founded in 1675 and classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Owned by Crédit Agricole Grands Crus since 2004, it is led by Anne Le Naour with Benjamin Cassoulet and is known for a fragmented vineyard spread across 11 soil types, seen as especially representative of Pauillac’s diverse terroirs. The estate has vinified on the Gironde estuary since 1820 and has undergone major renewal through its “Renaissance” project. Sustainability is central: mechanical soil work replaced weedkillers in the 1990s, the château joined the Bordeaux environmental management system in 2012, holds HVE 3 certification, and is progressing toward full organic farming by 2025. Its Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot come partly from massal selection and old vines, yielding wines of depth, spice, power, and elegance.
