Beaux Frères is a Ribbon Ridge estate in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, founded by Michael G. Etzel and now run by his son Mike D. “Mikey” Etzel, with Damien Lapuyade joining as winemaker in 2023. Based on a former farm in Newberg, it is best known for Pinot Noir, with some Chardonnay, and a focus on single-vineyard and estate bottlings. Farming is biodynamic and regenerative, with no irrigation, cover crops, on-site composting and nursery work, biodynamic preparations, and a holistic, self-supporting approach in the vineyard. In the cellar, the style is low-intervention: indigenous yeast fermentations, minimal sulfur, and wines often left unfined and unfiltered. Ownership is shared between Michael G. Etzel and Artémis Domaines, with the Etzel family retaining a minority stake.
