Altamente is a family-run boutique producer in Murcia’s northernmost DO Jumilla, founded by Fernando and Marian Barrena. Its 100% Monastrell wines come from own-rooted Pie Franco vines at 900 metres in the arid Hoya Torres Valley, where shallow calcareous, sandy and stony soils shape the vineyards. The estate follows certified organic, 100% organic farming and a low-intervention approach, with hand-harvested grapes, native-yeast fermentation and tank ageing.
