Producer

Oakridge

Australia

Oakridge is a Yarra Valley producer in Victoria, founded more than three decades ago near Seville and now based in Coldstream. Its wines focus on cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, including distinctive single-site expressions. Grapes are hand-picked from estate, managed and selected local vineyards, with careful vineyard monitoring and overnight cooling before winemaking. The winery prioritises soil health through biological farming, composting, cover crops, compost teas, reduced chemical use and machinery, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity initiatives; it is certified by Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. Chief Winemaker David Bicknell has led the team since 2002, using traditional, minimal-intervention methods, natural yeasts, gentle handling, French oak, and limited racking and filtration. The resulting wines are described as fresh, balanced and persistent.
