Producer

La Poderina

Italy

La Poderina is a Montalcino estate in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, Tuscany, owned by Tenute del Cerro SpA, part of the Unipol Group through Saiagricola. The estate focuses on Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino and Sangiovese, with Lorenzo Landi overseeing winemaking. Its vineyards are farmed organically, with an integrated, low-yield approach targeting around 6 tonnes per hectare, below the legal limit. In the cellar, Landi uses both large oak casks and new barriques, shaping a style that balances traditional and more modern élevage.
