Heirloom Vineyards

Australia

Founded and owned by Elena and Zar, Heirloom Vineyards is a boutique South Australian producer based in McLaren Vale, with wines drawn from regions including Barossa, Adelaide Hills, Coonawarra and Eden Valley. The winery follows organic and biodynamic farming principles, working with hand-tended old vines and, in McLaren Vale, sourcing grapes from neighboring McMurtrie Family vineyards. Its approach combines traditional methods with modern precision: bunch-by-bunch sorting, natural open fermentation, whole-bunch fermentation, basket pressing and maturation in French oak barriques from bespoke coopers. The portfolio spans multiple varieties and limited releases, with a focus on preserving old-world wine traditions through carefully selected clones and artisanal viticulture and winemaking.
