Domaine Ostertag

France

Domaine Ostertag is a family-owned estate in Epfig, Alsace, founded in 1966 and led by André Ostertag, with his son Arthur involved in viticulture and winemaking. The domaine farms vineyards across sites including Muenchberg Grand Cru, Fronholz, Zellberg, and Clos Mathis, with soils ranging from sandstone and volcanic rock to limestone, marl, quartz, granite, and schist. Certified biodynamic since 1998, it also follows organic principles and works with indigenous yeasts, low filtration, low sulphur, and restrained oak, including Vosges barriques for Pinot wines. Its wines are shaped by a poetic, site-focused philosophy and are organized into distinctive ranges such as Vins de Fruit, Vins de Pierre, and Vin de Temps.
