Domaine Les 4 Vents

France

Domaine Les 4 Vents is a family-run estate in Crozes-Hermitage, rooted in two local families whose winegrowing history reaches back to the 1800s. Eighth-generation growers Lucie and Nancy Fourel jointly operate the domaine, which has bottled its own wines since 2010. Its vineyards in Mercurol and La Roche-de-Glun span six terroirs and are fully organic, with soil-cover and foliage practices used to support resilience. The estate grows Syrah, Marsanne, and Roussanne, with vines ranging up to 60 years old. Winemaking is low intervention: grapes are hand-harvested, parcels are vinified separately, and indigenous yeasts are used without chaptalization, acidification, or added sulfur dioxide. Reds are aged in tank, barrel, or amphora, according to the cuvée.
