Producer

Château Pierre 1er

France

Château Pierre 1er is a family-owned Saint-Émilion estate, owned by Jean Dutruilh since 1984 and managed by Ch. Dutruilh and P. Dutruilh. Its single vineyard plot lies between Château Cheval-Blanc and Château Figeac, planted predominantly to Merlot with Cabernet Franc. Certified HVE, the estate combines sustainable practices with manual harvesting, hand selection, double sorting without pumping and gravity-fed transfers. Winemaking, guided by Michel Rolland and Julien Viaud, uses temperature-controlled vats, partial malolactic fermentation in new barrels and 12–16 months of oak aging.
