Selva Capuzza is a fourth-generation Formentini family estate in Desenzano del Garda, in Lombardy’s Lugana area, run by Luca Formentini since the family founded it in 1917. Working across the overlapping Lugana, San Martino della Battaglia and Garda Classico appellations, the estate focuses exclusively on native varieties including Turbiana, Tuchì, Groppello and Marzemino. Grapes are hand-picked and the wines are made on the estate by a team led by Luca. Sustainability is central: chemical weeding has been avoided since 2010, machinery use and bottle weight are limited, and water, carbon footprint and biodiversity are carefully managed. The farm follows SQNPI sustainable certification and maintains an ecological, hunting-free landscape. Selva Capuzza also runs the Cascina Capuzza restaurant and Borgo San Donino agriturismo, connecting its wines with the area’s natural and cultural heritage.
