Requiem Wines

United States

Founded in 2018 by Hector Gonzalez and Amara Hundt, Requiem is a family-run Washington producer focused on Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley and Walla Walla AVAs. The winery works with Champoux, Wallula, SeVein/Seven Hills, and Loess vineyards, emphasizing the distinct characteristics of each site; SeVein is sustainably farmed, with no formal certification cited. Requiem operates in partnership with AVERÆN and a boutique Walla Walla winery, while Loess Vineyard is owned by the Figgins family. Grapes are vinified separately in stainless-steel tanks and open-top wood vats, then aged for 20–24 months in French oak, approximately 40% new. The founders describe their approach as rooted in inspiration, community, connection to the Earth, and respect for artisans.
