Palazzo Tronconi is a biodynamic winery in the medieval historic centre of Arce, in Lazio’s Ciociaria region. Owned by Marco Marrocco and designed by architect and winemaker Roberto Mazzer, it operates from an 18th-century palazzo that also houses a hotel, osteria and cantina. Its vineyards preserve ancient Arcese varieties including Lecinaro, Ulivello nero, Pampanaro, Capolongo and Maturano bianco, alongside Malvasia Puntinata, Moscato di Terracina and Syrah. Farming follows biodynamic principles, with no chemical inputs, while the cellar favours spontaneous fermentation, minimal intervention and no clarification or filtration. Wines are aged in concrete, terracotta amphorae or wood, expressing the austere, authentic character of the land and its people.
