La Cadalora

Italy

La Cadalora is a family-run estate in Santa Margherita di Ala in Trentino’s Vallagarina, farmed by the seventh-generation Tomasi family. Led by Rodolfo, Tiziano and Michele Tomasi, the winery is rooted in an artisan philosophy focused on expressing local territory, old family vineyards and the distinct soils of Santa Margherita. Farming is organic in practice, with chemical-free methods including biological pest control, cover crops, green pruning and cluster thinning, though no formal certification is noted. In the cellar, each variety is handled to preserve its character, from lees-aged whites in steel to longer élevage for Pinot Nero and the local Casetta. The range balances international grapes with local varieties such as Marzemino and Casetta.
