Founded by Étienne Guigal in 1946, Domaine E. Guigal remains family-owned and is now managed by his son Marcel and grandson Philippe, who oversee vineyard work and winemaking. Based in the Rhône Valley, the estate works vineyards in the Northern Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with soils including iron-rich schist, clay and granite. Its notable Northern Rhône terroirs include the mica-rich pale schist of La Mouline and the brown, iron-laden schist of La Landonne and La Turque. Guigal produces both premium appellation wines and larger-volume Côtes du Rhône, combining a broad range with a family-led continuity across three generations. No specific sustainability certifications are noted.
