David Bienfait

France

David Bienfait is an owner-winemaker running an inherited micro-artisan estate in Burgundy’s Mâconnais. The vineyards span Charnay, Davayé and Vergisson, including young vines on the Saône slope. Farming is certified organic from 2024 and in conversion, with a focus on soil health, biodiversity, natural grass cover or ploughing, and minimal chemical intervention. Bienfait oversees minimal-intervention winemaking across four wines, producing in limited quantities.
