Moretti Omero

Moretti Omero is a family-run estate in San Sabino, Giano dell’Umbria, in the southern Montefalco area. Founded by Omero Moretti in 1992, it remains managed by Omero, Daniela, and their daughters Giusy and Lucia, with Giusy as lead winemaker. The estate has been certified organic since its beginning, limiting vineyard treatments to minimal sulfur and copper and emphasizing biodiversity, native varieties, and hand harvesting. Its wines focus on Sagrantino and Trebbiano Spoletino, with fermentation using native yeasts developed in collaboration with the University of Perugia. Crafted with an artisanal, minimally invasive approach, the wines are described as intense, structured, balanced, and genuinely connected to the Umbrian land. The family also produces organic extra virgin olive oil.
