Producer

Marqués de Cáceres

Spain

Marqués de Cáceres is a family-owned producer based in Cenicero, Rioja, founded in 1970 by Enrique Forner and now led by his daughter Cristina Forner, continuing the Forner family’s fifth-generation wine legacy. The estate combines Rioja tradition with a modern, Bordeaux-influenced vision focused on freshness, elegance, and technical rigor. Work in the vineyards emphasizes manual harvests, old-vine parcels, minimal-intervention viticulture, and the recovery of nearly extinct native varieties. Certified organic and SWFCP-certified, the winery also highlights cover crops, organic fertilisers, biological pest control, rainwater collection, solar energy, and recycled glass. Its technical team, led by Fernando Costa alongside Emilio González, Manuel Iribarnegaray, and Carmen Blanco Martín, aims to make wines that respect each grape’s character while maintaining quality across a broad range of styles.
