Marino Abate is a family-owned estate in Marsala, in western Sicily, led by Vincenzo "Enzo" Marino Abate and rooted in a generational connection to the land. The family oversees cultivation, vinification and sales, with Enzo continuing the work passed down from his father Angelo and grandfather ‘Nzino. Farming is certified organic and supported by biodynamic practices, hand-harvesting, low yields and a strong focus on biodiversity and environmental respect. The vineyards, between Marsala and Mazara del Vallo, include varied clay, calcareous, sandy and pebbly soils, which the estate aims to express faithfully through its wines. The approach is small-batch and terroir-focused, with wines intended to present a distinctive, contemporary expression of Sicily.
