Tenuta Asinara

Italy

Tenuta Asinara is a young, family-owned estate in Romangia, northern Sardinia, overlooking the Gulf of Asinara. Founded by Roberto and Grazia Sassu, it began as an agricultural project connected with the preservation of Sardinian white donkeys and cattle before developing into a winery with Giacomo Tachis. Sea breezes, Mediterranean light and mineral-rich soils shape the vineyards, planted at high density and farmed without chemical fertilisers or synthetic products, using manure from the estate’s animals. Vermentino and Cannonau grow alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The winery combines careful selection, gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation with a focus on expressing the character of this coastal territory.
