Mira do Ó is a boutique winery in Portugal’s Beira region, run as a one-person operation by founder and winemaker Nuno Mira do Ó. He farms low-yield, 35-year-old Encruzado vines across three parcels on granite-clay soils at 500 metres, using organic and sustainable practices without cited formal certification. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented without added yeasts in small barrels and larger foudres, followed by ten months of ageing. The approach is hands-on and artisanal, focused on expressing the vineyard through careful, small-scale winemaking.
