Giulio Cocchi

Italy

Founded in Asti in 1891, Giulio Cocchi is a historic Piedmont house that has been family-owned by the Bava family since 1978 and is now run by three generations. Cocchi specializes in artisanal aromatized wines, Vermouth di Torino and traditional sparkling wines rooted in the Asti area. Its products remain tied to Giulio Cocchi’s original recipes, including Americano and Storico Vermouth di Torino, both central to the house’s identity. In sparkling wine, Cocchi has been an innovator in Alta Langa DOCG, noted as the first producer to create an Alta Langa rosé and also the first made from Chardonnay alone. The style emphasizes authenticity, elegance, selected ingredients and long technical experience, with limited-production cuvées and an organic Extra Brut underscoring its artisanal approach.
