Dunn Vineyards is a family-owned, family-run estate on Howell Mountain in California, founded in 1979 by former Caymus winemaker Randy Dunn and co-owned with Lori Dunn. The next generation is also involved, with Kristina Dunn helping oversee operations and Mike Dunn participating in winemaking. The estate focuses primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon, with a hands-on approach in both vineyard and cellar. Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel, and the wines are aged for 30 months in mostly new French oak. Notes emphasize modest production and a commitment to quality over expansion. No sustainability certifications are noted.
