Domaine de Lamole

Italy

Domaine de Lamole is a historic Chianti Classico estate in Lamole, the high-altitude hamlet of Greve in Chianti, where steep terraced vineyards on galestro, macigno, and alberese shape a refined, fresh expression of Sangiovese. Part of the Santa Margherita Group since 1993, the estate combines a historic cellar dating to the 14th century with a modern winery. Farming has been fully organic since a sustainability conversion begun in 2005, with Eco-Control certification IT-BIO-014 and a broader focus on biodiversity and environmental stewardship. The wines are defined by altitude, ventilation, and marked day-night temperature shifts, favoring fragrance, vibrancy, elegance, and longevity over sheer power.
