Producer

Domaine de Chassorney

France

Founded in Burgundy in 1996, Domaine de Chassorney is privately owned and led by winemaker Frédéric Cossard. The estate produces very small quantities of natural wines from vineyards farmed organically from the outset, with biodynamic and homeopathic methods also used. Horse-drawn ploughing, compost made from vine clippings, grape marc and cow manure, and hand-selected grapes reflect a hands-on approach. The wines are made from low yields and fully ripe grapes, without chemical treatments or added sulphur. No formal organic certification is mentioned.
