Château Saint-Esprit

France

Château Saint-Esprit is a four-generation Crocé-Spinelli family estate in the heart of Provence, between Draguignan and Lorgues. Richard, Hélène, Mathilde and Florent Crocé-Spinelli combine winemaking, vineyard, commercial and oenotourism roles while continuing the family tradition. The estate works its vineyards without pesticides or herbicides and describes its approach as organic, complemented by biodynamic practices; indigenous yeasts are used. Planted with Provençal varieties including Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Rolle, the vines grow on red ochre clay-limestone soils in a varied Mediterranean and continental microclimate. Vinification and élevage are adapted to each wine, with minimal new oak, aiming to express the terroir. The estate is also known for wine tourism, art exhibitions and cultural events, and its rosés and reds have received recognition from major critics and competitions.
