Cantine Spinelli

Italy

Founded in 1973 and based in Atessa in southern Abruzzo, Spinelli is a family-owned winery now run across three generations of the Spinelli family. Its vineyards lie between the Maiella massif and the Adriatic Sea, in the Val di Sangro and Frentane hills, where warm Mediterranean breezes, day-night temperature shifts, and clay-limestone soils shape the wines. The estate focuses strongly on Abruzzo’s native grapes and produces red, white, and rosé wines marked by typicity, balance, and in some cases ageing potential. Spinelli also emphasizes organic DOC BIO viticulture, with Bio ranges such as Val di Fara Bio and Serranella Bio, alongside low-intervention winemaking and minimal sulphites.
