La Zerba

Italy

La Zerba is a family-run, certified organic estate in Tassarolo, in Piedmont’s Gavi area, where the family has worked the vineyards since 1973. The vineyards surround the winery and are farmed with a strong sustainability focus, including mechanical weeding, organic manure and green manure, hand harvest, biodiversity measures, pomace composting, pruning mulching, photovoltaic energy, and bottles made with 75% recycled glass. The cellar work centers on temperature-controlled stainless steel, with terracotta amphora used for the Anfora label. La Zerba describes its wines as faithful to the Tassarolo sub-zone, with structure, mineral character, intense fruit, and a balance of freshness and savoriness.
