J Vineyards & Winery is a Healdsburg producer in California’s Russian River Valley, founded in 1986 by Judy Jordan and now part of the family-owned E. & J. Gallo Winery. Its estate vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast are Certified Sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, with some parcels progressing toward organic certification. J is known for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and sparkling wines shaped by the region’s cool coastal influence. Winemaking is led by Nicole Hitchcock, who joined in 2015, with Judy Jordan remaining an important founding figure. The winery also emphasizes elevated food-and-wine experiences and inclusivity, notably through its award-winning Shifting the Lens culinary series highlighting diverse voices and perspectives.
