Producer

Intellego

South Africa

Intellego is a South African producer in the Western Cape, founded in 2009 by owner-winemaker Jurgen Gouws and linked to Compania de Vinos Heraclios. The project is rooted in Swartland, with vineyards on a disused airfield, and operations also noted in Cape Town. Intellego is defined by a sustainable, minimal-intervention approach, with biodynamic and organic practices, vegan-friendly wines, and natural vineyard solutions referenced through the Terra Vitis programme. The notes describe it as a boutique, heritage-minded producer with a strong focus on holistic farming rather than scale, and as a processor it may work with fruit from multiple vineyards.
