I Feudi di Romans

Italy

I Feudi di Romans is a family-run estate in Friuli Isonzo, where vineyards lie on gravelly, sandy soils shaped by the Isonzo River. Founded by Enzo Lorenzon in 1974, the winery continues the work begun by Severino Lorenzon in the 1950s, with Davide and Nicola Lorenzon involved in winemaking and management. The estate emphasizes respectful, low-impact viticulture, including no weed-control treatments, sub-irrigation and manual bunch thinning, although it holds no formal sustainability certification. Its wines aim to preserve varietal character, using stainless steel and limited wood for added complexity. The organic Fysi cuvée is made from disease-resistant PIWI varieties related to Sauvignon and Friulano, reflecting the winery’s ongoing research and interest in sustainable innovation.
