Helen & Joey Estate is a family-owned boutique winery in Gruyere, in Victoria’s Yarra Valley, founded by Helen and Joey around 2010–11. The estate grows and makes its own wines, with a focus on cool-climate varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Bordeaux-style blends; it is known locally as “The Place for Pinot.” Vineyard work emphasizes soil vitality and vineyard health, while the winemaking approach ranges from intuitive, minimal-intervention styles to more structured expressions. Helen Xu leads the estate, with winemaking also associated with Meg Brodtmann MW and Adam McCallum. Its working winery, cellar door, restaurant and boutique accommodation form an integrated wine-country destination, with dining influenced by the owners’ Chinese heritage and seasonal Yarra Valley produce.
