Fattoria Lornano is a family-owned Chianti Classico producer in the hills of Castellina in Chianti, owned by the same family since 1904 and working from historic 15th-century cellars. Its vineyards lie in a single plot on mineral-rich soils of calcareous earth, sandstone, silt, clay and marine sediments, with Sangiovese accounting for most plantings and represented by 15 selected clones. Certified under SQNPI, the estate practices sustainable agriculture without chemical fertilizers, herbicides or irrigation, while using weather data to reduce treatments. Its winemaking philosophy places Sangiovese at the centre of its identity. The estate also produces extra virgin olive oil and welcomes visitors for cellar tours, tastings and other Tuscan experiences.
