Domaine Paul Autard

France

Domaine Paul Autard is a family-run estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the Rhône Valley, led by Jean-Paul Autard and joined by his children Pauline and Jules. Jean-Paul took over the family domaine at 17 and now passes on that knowledge to the next generation. The vineyards, with vines aged 40 to 95 years, lie across varied local terroirs including clay-limestone, sands, and rolled pebbles, helping shape complex wines. Farming is guided by respect for natural balance and biodiversity, with no pesticides, chemical products, or fertilizers used, though no formal certification is mentioned. The domaine works with classic southern Rhône varieties for both red and white wines and combines a traditional family approach with a modern cellar built in 2005.
