France

Domaine Lucien Muzard is a family-owned Burgundy estate in the Côte de Beaune, established in 1645 and now managed by ninth-generation brothers Claude and Hervé Muzard. Its vineyards span Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, and other appellations, with a focus on premier cru sites and older vines. The brothers farm by hand according to organic and biodynamic principles, including hedgerow planting. Their natural approach uses native yeasts, whole-cluster fermentation, temperature-controlled wooden fermenters, mostly used barrels, and reintroduced large oak vats. The historic wines continue to bear Lucien Muzard’s name.
