Domaine La Fourmone

France

Domaine la Fourmone is a long-established family estate in the Southern Rhône, rooted in Vacqueyras and Gigondas and owned by the Combe family since 1910. Now run by the fifth generation—Marie-Thérèse, Florentine and Albin Combe—it farms organically, with certification since 2019 after an eight-year conversion. The domaine emphasizes respect for the land, biodiversity, and transmission of know-how, using organic fertilizers, cover crops, and integrated pest management. In the cellar, the approach is focused on terroir expression, with indigenous yeasts, temperature-controlled fermentation, maturation in concrete, and restrained use of French oak for selected cuvées.
