Domaine des Carlines is a family-run Jura estate owned and operated by husband-and-wife winemakers Patrick and Sophie Ligeron. Its vineyards include 3 hectares in the prestigious Château-Chalon sub-AOC. The domaine practices sustainable viticulture and is transitioning to organic certification, with a focus on handcrafted, low-intervention wines. Patrick hand-harvests the grapes, which are fermented in used Burgundy oak barrels and aged on their lees for roughly a year. As a direct-import producer, Domaine des Carlines emphasizes the personal, artisanal character of its wines.
