Domaine de Mauperthuis

France

Family-owned Burgundy estate in Préhy, near Chablis, founded by Marie-Noëlle and Laurent Ternynck, who have worked in the Tonnerrois since 1992. The domaine farms south-facing vineyards planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon and César. It is HVE-certified and entering the Culture Biologique organic certification process, with wines presented as sustainable and vegan-friendly. Low yields from short, airy pruning are intended to express the terroir, producing concentrated Pinot Noir, mineral Chardonnay with white-flower notes, and tangy, exotic Sauvignon. The range includes regional Burgundy wines, Chablis, Irancy, César and oak-aged Pinot Noir. Wines have received medals in national competitions and repeated recognition in the Guide Hachette des Vins, including three stars for Palotte.
