Domaine de Marchandise

Domaine de Marchandise is a family estate at the foot of the Rocher de Roquebrune-sur-Argens in Provence, producing AOP Côtes de Provence rosés and reds. Now managed by the third generation, the domaine works clay-rich soils with organic matter, alfalfa cover and careful physiological pruning, while manual vineyard practices help limit product use and tractor passes. Tibouren brings a spicy character to the rosés, while Mourvèdre contributes structure and fruit to rosé and delicate garrigue notes to red wines. In the cellar, the team favors time over processes and limits oenological products: rosés receive extended maceration for structure, while red cuvées emphasize grape quality and vintage expression. Their work combines scientific understanding with respect for wine’s unpredictable dimension.
