Domaine de l’Edre is located near Vingrau, on the foothills of the Corbières in the Catalan Pyrénées-Orientales, within the Côtes du Roussillon Villages and Tautavel appellations. Founded in 2002 by two friends passionate about the region’s clay-limestone terroir, the domaine is now led by Pierre Laporte. Mediterranean sunshine, the Tramontane wind, varied exposures and elevations create wines that are complex, fruity, powerful and balanced. The vines are farmed sustainably with very low yields, moving toward organic agriculture. Grapes are hand-harvested through successive sorting, then fully destemmed and cold-macerated before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks or demi-muids for selected cuvées.
