Combier Fischer Gerin is a Priorat estate created through a collaboration among French winemakers Laurent Combier, Jean-Michel Gerin, and Peter Fischer. Its vineyards, rooted in brown shale, gneiss, and purple shale, are traditionally and carefully maintained, with grapes harvested by hand. Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Carignan are fermented separately in stainless-steel tanks using short maceration and low extraction. The wine is then aged for 24 months, half in barrels and half in stainless steel, reflecting a measured, low-extraction approach to Priorat’s distinctive terroir.
