Clos Mogador is a family-owned estate in Gratallops, Priorat, founded by René Barbier and now run by the next generation, René and Christian Barbier. Rooted in the Barbier family’s long winegrowing history, the project is closely tied to Priorat’s modern revival. The vineyards lie on llicorella slate and are farmed with organic, biodynamic and regenerative principles, with polyculture, cover crops, grazing animals, beekeeping and horse ploughing used to support biodiversity and soil health. A founding member of the Regenerative Viticulture Association, Clos Mogador focuses on small-scale winemaking and ageing, aiming for wines of purity, minerality and vintage-specific character with minimal intervention.
